Cristiano Ronaldo names most difficult opponent - suggesting no-one's got near him for SEVEN years

Cristiano Ronaldo has played many games against many players, and more often than not he's got the better of them.

The Portuguese superstar is usually the centre of attention on whatever football pitch he sets foot on, but sometimes - even if it is rare - he will accept that he has challenges to overcome.

You see there are opponents who are trying to stop Ronaldo from doing his thing, and sometimes he will acknowledge that they are actually pretty good at doing it.

And in an interview with Coach magazine, Ronaldo named an Englishman as his toughest opponent, saying:

"Over the years I had some great battles with Ashley Cole – he doesn’t give you a second to breathe.

"He was such a tenacious player, quick, tough in

Ronaldo would have faced Cole several times in the Premier League when he was at Manchester United and the left-back was at Arsenal, while it was widely accepted that Cole had the better of a memorable battle at Euro 2004.
That's all very nice then, but given that Ronaldo left English football in 2009, is he basically saying that no-one has got anywhere near him for seven years?
He probably is you know.
Ah, Ronaldo. Never change.
